Seriously, it's a damn funny movie. My face hurts from laughing so hard. It's the sort of movie Ed Wood might have made if he had a big budget and talent (the flying saucers look suspiciously Plan 9-ish). It's full of Tim Burton's trademark loony inventiveness and childlike (but somehow not juvenile) humor. But I have to say, Tim, STOP USING DANNY ELFMAN TO SCORE YOUR MOVIES!!!! His film scores all sound the same!! Are ya sure he didn't just take the music from Beetlejuice and slap a new title on it?
Why should you see this movie? Well, did Independence Day show you the Martians' underwear? Tim Burton does. Do you yearn for the innovative use of cows in a movie since Twister left the theaters? Your prayers are answered. Wanna see Sarah Jessica Parker's head on a Chihuahua's body? I thought so. Miss the days of Nancy Reagan in the White House? Feast your eyes on Glenn Close's homage to Mommy.
And, AND there's a ferret in it! Like you need
another reason!
